Staying engaged with our state affiliate in Tennessee has never been more in important for MFTs.  In our state, and in others, local legislators are insisting on having a state-based entity to be the voice for the profession regarding laws and regulation.  Our Tennessee affiliate is where we invest for our advocacy and lobbying efforts, to be a voice for the benefit of our profession and clients.  

Tennessee is now an Independent Affiliate of AAMFT. 

In order to be a member of TNAMFT, you must also be a member of AAMFT.  

If you wish to sign up for membership in the Tennessee Association, 

you must select the ENGAGE/NETWORK menu tab on the AAMFT website

and scroll down to choose Tennessee.

To engage or reengage as members as part of our state affiliate, here are the steps to follow.  There is a new platform on the AAMFT website for a member to choose a state association.  

If you have already renewed your membership with AAMFT for the year and want to go back and sign-up for the Tennessee Affiliate, then:

1. Go to the “ENGAGE and Network” tab near the top of your AAMFT homepage and click on the “Geographic Engagement Programs” sub-tab under that.

2. Go down the list alphabetically until you find the Tennessee page (near the

   bottom of the page) and click the “Join Now” button under Tennessee.

3. Follow the prompts to add the affiliate member to your cart and proceed to the

   check-out.

If you are renewing your membership with AAMFT, then:

1. Go to the “Membership” tab on the upper-right side of your AAMFT homepage and click on the “My Account” sub-tab.

2. Once logging in, once you are on your profile page and if you are up for renewal, there is a button to renew in the left-hand column.

3. Follow the prompts, and when you get the page where you pick interest and geographic networks, make sure you are clicked on the “Tennessee Affiliate” before proceeding to the check-out.
